The AKademy

Welcome

To your next opportunity to maximize your potential as a player and athlete. This program has helped hundreds of athletes since it’s inception in 2021. Ready to unlock the next level of greatness hiding within you?

All players will receive expert coaching in the following areas:

Which Group is For You?

The AKademy Rising is for 6th - 8th grade basketball players pursuing stronger roles on their school or comp teams. It is a summer long program that goes in-depth into helping players improve confidence, athleticism, fundamental skills & understanding of the game.

The AKademy Next Level is for High School players who want to transform their abilities in order to compete at the next level. The “next level” for each player may mean something different: Varsity to College, JV to Varsity, C-Team to JV, but the standard of coaching in these sessions will be exactly what helps challenge each player to find where their weaknesses are and transform them into strengths. Several players in this program have moved on to play at the collegiate level.

October 8th, 12th, 16th*,19th, 26th, 30th*, November 2nd

*these two workouts are off from school days so the session will be 10:00 - 11:15am.

LOCATION: O’Malley Sports Center

Strength & Conditioning session options

These sessions run year round and are not limited to only AKademy athletes.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday // 1:00 - 2:00pm* or 6:15 - 7:15pm // Saturdays 11:15 - 12:15pm

Location: The Sweat Lab

*the 1:00 - 2:00pm is only on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Max players per workout: 14 (reserve your spot through the PushPress members app)

These sessions will be made up of one - two packed 75 minute skill sessions per week and the option for four different days of strength and conditioning. Punchcards work for both types of session and athletes have no minimum or maximum requirement of sessions that are expected to be attended. This is a 100% player focused program, helping players improve their own individual game, whereas with their teams there will be more practice time spent on team concepts. This program would also be considered a supplemental to any team as it helps players be better to prepared within their own teams.

Fall skills are limited to serious middle school players who are not beginner level as this will group will be blended with the Next Level (high school) group. More beginner players, if possible, are invited to join the 4:00 - 5:15pm group (we know public school release time is 4:00pm so that is not super feasible for most families and we are so sorry! Gym time is highly limited in Alaska during the colder months unfortunately).
